Our Story

Recipes carried from Vatan, served in front of you.

Each dish has a story — recipes passed down through our family, from house-made koobideh skewers to the saffron-infused marinade we use on our joojeh. They tell of a migration from the provinces of Iran to the streets of Tehran, and the rice dishes that made our table famous along the way.

Our journey to London began in the 1970s. We opened RiCE (Berenj) Persian Kitchen on Chiswick High Road so we could bake naan in a clay tandoor in front of you, season the grill to perfection, and take it straight to your table — the way we'd do it back home.

We may be miles from Vatan, but we've brought a little piece of home to share. From us, to you.
